Shashi Bhushan Singh appointed as Secretary, National Jute Board

Shashi Bhushan Singh, a 2010 batch officer of the Indian Railway Transport Service (IRTS), has been appointed Secretary (Director level) of the National Jute Board in Kolkata under the Ministry of Textiles.  This appointment is sanctioned by the Central Government and will remain effective for a period of five years or till the next order.

 The Union Government has approved the appointment of Shashi Bhushan Singh as the Secretary (Director level) of the National Jute Board through an order of the Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT).  Singh's appointment is for a period of five years or till the next order, whichever comes first.  The order directed Singh to immediately relieve himself of his current duties to assume his new responsibilities.
