ISRO aims to make space missions debris-free by 2030

Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) President S Somnath announced on April 16, 2024 that India aims to build a debris-free space by 2030 .
 ISRO Chairman S Somnath made the announcement while addressing the 42nd Inter-Agency Space Debris Coordination Committee (IADC) annual meeting in Bengaluru.  During the meeting, ISRO President S Somnath said that ISRO has a very clear plan as far as future space exploration and space use is concerned.
 ISRO Chairman S Somnath is also the Secretary, Department of Space.
 ISRO President S Somnath announced:
 Somnath said India is working with the objective of conducting debris-free space missions to ensure space stability.  I want to make this initiative an announcement today, possibly more discussed and debated in the coming days.
