Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered his first address to the new Parliament on Tuesday.  During the meeting, PM Modi mentioned the Women's Reservation Bill.  PM Modi named the women's reservation as 'Nari Shakti Vandan Act'.  He appealed to all MPs to pass it unanimously.  "A holy start is being made. If the law is passed unanimously, its strength will increase many times over," Modi said.
PM Modi said that there has been a lot of discussion and debate on women reservation for many years.  The related bill was first introduced in 1996.  During Atal Ji's tenure, the Women's Reservation Bill was introduced several times, but the figures could not be collected to get it passed.    Maybe God has chosen me for this sacred work of empowering women and harnessing their power.  Once again, our government has taken steps in this direction.
"The Cabinet has approved the Women's Reservation Bill yesterday," he said.  Today, September 19, is therefore going to be immortalized in history.
