Indian Navy: Indian Navy completes ‘Eastern Wave’ exercise

The Indian Navy conducted an Eastern Wave exercise off the east coast on Saturday.  The exercise was conducted under the operational control of the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command.  The objective of the exercise was to verify the assessment of the Indian Navy’s readiness to meet maritime security challenges.  The exercise also involved ships, submarines, aircraft and special forces.  The Eastern Wave exercise was conducted in several phases.  During the tactical phase, combat training was conducted in realistic scenarios.  During the weapons phase, firing from various weapons was successfully conducted.
