According to the latest figures made available by the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA), India, home to nearly three-fourths of the world’s population of tigers, documented the deaths of as many as 166 tigers in 2025. The figure has increased by 40 tiger mortalities compared to 2024, when 126 mortalities were reported, according to the latest figures made available by the National Tiger Conservation Authority.
