India is going to host the 'AI Impact Summit' in early 2026. This summit, to be held between February 19-20, will be a major opportunity for countries in the Global South to come together to discuss solutions and actively shape the AI agenda internationally. Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Jitin Prasada announced this during a special event held at the United Nations Headquarters.
The 'India-AI Impact Summit 2026' will be held in New Delhi on February 19-20, 2026. United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will be a special guest at the event. This will be the first time a global AI summit is being held in the Global South. Previously, such summits have been held in Bletchley Park (United Kingdom), Seoul, and Paris.
