Velamala Simmanna, who has published over 100 books and has served as former Head of Department of Telugu, Andhra University, has been chosen for this year’s Lok Nayak Foundation’s literary award. The award, which carries ₹2 lakh in cash, will be presented to him at the awards function to be held in the city on January 18, 2026.
Announcing this at a media conference, here, on Monday (November 24) , Lok Nayak Foundation chairman Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad said that LNF literary awards were being presented to eminent persons, who had contributed to the promotion of Telugu language and literature.
