Sivasubramanian Ramann takes charge as new PFRDA chairperson

Sivasubramanian Ramann assumed office as the chairperson of the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) on Thursday. His appointment was notified by the Centre on April 8. Ramann succeeds Deepak Mohanty, who served as PFRDA chairperson between March 2023 and May 2025. Ramann has been appointed for a tenure of five years with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post or till he attains the age of 65 years, or until further orders, whichever is the earliest.

A 1991-batch officer of the Indian Audit & Accounts Service (IA&AS), Ramann has served as the deputy comptroller & auditor general, and chief technology officer in the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India.
