QNB, the largest financial institution in the Middle East and Africa (MEA), has become the first bank in the MEA region to open a branch in GIFT City, Gujarat, India’s first international financial centre and special economic zone.Commenting on the launch of the new branch, Mr. Abdullah Mubarak Al Khalifa, CEO of QNB Group, said: "India's banking sector is poised for rapid growth, driven by strong economic growth prospects, and banks have demonstrated strong operating performance along with improving asset quality.
