The Centre has approved the appointment of Justice Manoj Kumar Gupta as the Chief Justice of the Uttarakhand High Court.

Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (retd) administered the oath of office to the newly appointed Chief Justice of the Uttarakhand High Court, Manoj Kumar Gupta, at Lok Bhawan on Saturday.
Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan read out the warrant from the President appointing Justice Manoj Kumar Gupta as the Chief Justice of the Uttarakhand High Court. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Chief Justice of the Uttar Pradesh High Court Arun Bhansali, Justice Ashish Naithani of the Uttarakhand High Court, First Lady Gurmeet Kaur, Cabinet Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, MLAs Munna Singh Chauhan, Khajan Das, Pradeep Batra and Savita Kapoor, Director General of Police Deepam Seth, Registrar General of the Nainital High Court Yogesh Kumar Gupta, Legal Advisor to Governor Kaushal Kishore Shukla, Additional Secretary Reena Joshi, senior judges, senior officers and other dignitaries were present at the oath taking ceremony.
