The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has got a new chief, as Rajit Punhani, a 1991-batch IAS officer from the Bihar cadre, has officially assumed the charge of the food safety regulatory body next CEO.
Previously, Punhani served as Secretary to the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and was earlier overseeing the operations of Rajya Sabha as its Secretary.
