Sanjay Singhal Assumes Charge as Director General of Sashastra Seema Bal(SSB)

The new Director General of Sashastra Seema Bal, Sanjay Singhal is a senior IPS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre with vast experience of border policing. 

The Centre in an order in July had announced the appointment of Singh, a month before DG Amrit Mohan Prasad (1989 batch) retirement on August 31.

SSB is tasked to guard the borders of India with Nepal and Bhutan and Singh as DG SSB will play a dynamic role in evolving border dynamics, security concerns, and modernization needs within paramilitary ranks
