Varsha Deshpande and 'Association for Population Scientific Studies' awarded UN Population Award

Varsha Deshpande, a women's rights activist from India, and the International Union for the Study of Population Sciences (IUSSP) have been selected for this year's United Nations Population Prize (2025). They are being given this honor for their exceptional contribution to population and reproductive health issues in their respective fields.

This award has been given since 1983 to those individuals and institutions who have made exceptional contributions in the field of population and reproductive health. This award being given in the year 2025 is the 40th one.
