electric buses: New electric bus service DEVI launched in Delhi

The Delhi government on Friday launched a new bus service called Delhi Electric Vehicle Interconnector (DEVi), ushering in a new era of green transport. A new fleet of modern, eco-friendly buses has been put on the road under the project. Delhi government's DEVi electric bus initiative saw nine-metre-long full electric buses being flagged off by chief minister Rekha Gupta. Union minister of state for transport and highways and corporate affairs Harsh Malhotra, health and family welfare, transport, information technology minister Pankaj Singh and education minister Dharmendra Pradhan, government of India, along with Delhi MPs and cabinet ministers of GNCTD were also present on the occasion.
