This day is a day to salute the achievements of laborers and working class and their invaluable contribution in nation building. The main purpose of celebrating this day is to honor the achievements of laborers and remember the contribution made by them. This day is also to strengthen mutual unity by organizing laborers and to make them aware of their rights. This is the reason why many labor organizations hold rallies, conferences, meetings and many types of programs on this day.
