A Japan Airlines plane was seen engulfed in flames at Tokyo's Haneda Airport on Tuesday after a possible collision with another plane, the country's national broadcaster NHK said in a report. According to the airline, the plane has been identified as Flight 516, which took off from Hokkaido's New Chitose Airport for the capital city. Japan Airlines said the plane collided with a Japan Coast Guard aircraft after landing at Haneda Airport.
The plane is still on fire and rescue workers are trying to evacuate the passengers, firefighters are trying to extinguish the fire. The airline said all 379 passengers and crew were evacuated safely. According to report, video footage available on social media shows the passenger plane moving and then bursting into a large ball of fire. After this the plane came to a standstill and the emergency slide opened and people were seen running out. Firefighters are seen trying to extinguish the fire.
