Virat Kohli's 50th ODI Century: Virat Kohli played a historic innings at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and scored a century against New Zealand in the semi-finals of the World Cup 2023.  With this century, King Kohli broke Sachin Tendulkar's record of scoring most centuries in ODIs.  Kohli completed his century in 106 balls with the help of 8 fours and 1 six.  This was Kohli's 50th ODI century and he became the first batsman to score 50 centuries in the ODI format.
Former Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar had scored 49 ODI centuries in his career, but now Kohli has broken the record of the legend.  Legendary Tendulkar played 463 ODI matches in his career.  King Kohli is playing his 291st ODI match.  Apart from this, Kohli also made the record of scoring the most runs in a single edition of the World Cup.  In this matter also, Kohli defeated Sachin Tendulkar.
 Before Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar had scored the most runs in an edition of the World Cup.  Sachin had scored 673 runs in the 2003 World Cup.  But now Kohli has got his name written on this record also.  In the 48-year-old history of the World Cup, Kohli has become the batsman who has scored the most runs in a single edition.
