Dr. P. Veeramuthuvel, Project Director of Chandrayaan-3 Mission, has donated the award amount of Rs 25 lakh

Chandrayan-3 mission: Dr. P. Veeramuthuvel, Project Director of Chandrayaan-3 Mission, has donated the award amount of Rs 25 lakh received on Gandhi Jayanti.  Veeramuthuvel, who is paying home loan EMI, has decided not to use the award money for personal use and donate it to the Alumni Association.  This donation of ISRO scientist is equal to his two years' salary.  Apart from Veeramuthuvel, M Sankaran has also decided to donate his state award of Rs 25 lakh.
