In the 35th match of the world, Pakistan defeated New Zealand by 21 runs using Duckworth-Lewis rule.  This is the fourth win of the Men in Green in the tournament.  Fakhar Zaman has registered many records in his name in this match.  Fakhar played a historic inning of 126 runs facing only 81 balls.  During this, he hit 8 fours and 11 sixes.  While captain Babar Azam also scored 66 runs.
New Zealand batted first and scored a huge score against Pakistan.  Kiwis batsmen thrashed Pak bowlers badly.  However, while chasing the target, the Pakistani batsmen also outclassed the New Zealand bowlers.  Even the target of 402 runs seemed low for opener Fakhar Zaman.
New Zealand's openers Deven Conway and Rachin Ravindra made a good start.  However, Conway returned to the pavilion after scoring only 35 runs.  After that, captain Kane Williamson made an important partnership with Rachin.  Rachin played an inning of 108 runs while Williamson scored 95 runs in 79 balls.
Mark Chapman and Darryl Mitchell played stormy innings.  However, both of them did not stay at the crease for long.  But Glenn Phillips compensated both of them by scoring 41 runs in 25 balls.
