62 posts of Assistant Engineers in Water Resources Department

The appointment ceremony was held at the Water Resources Department on Friday. Government on Friday issued appointment letters for 62 posts in the water resources department.
Chief Minister said the appointment is an important step in providing 1 lakh government jobs to the Government of Assam. Chief Minister also hoped that the appointment would play an important role in the smooth management of various important projects under the Water Resources Department.
The appointment ceremony was held at the Assam Secretariat premises at the office of the Chief Minister and Chief Secretary. In his speech, the Chief Minister said that the state government is continuously working towards fulfilling its promise to provide 1 lakh government jobs to the youth of the state.
A total of 87,720 job candidates have been recruited in various government departments since May2021. The number of assistant engineers has risen to 87,782 with the issuance of appointment letters today.
Water Resources Minister Piyush Hazarika, Education Minister Dr Ranoj Pegu and Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Assam S Abbasi were present on the occasion.
