After America and Britain, New Zealand has also supported Canada on India's move to send back 41 Canadian diplomats. New Zealand has said that we are concerned that India asked Canada to reduce its diplomatic presence in New Delhi, after which a large number of Canadian diplomats have withdrawn from India.
New Zealand is also a member of 'Five Eyes'. Based on whose input, Canadian PM Justin Trudeau has made serious allegations against India. However, generally New Zealand has avoided making such comments. Even when Justin Trudeau made serious allegations against India, New Zealand had refrained from making any kind of comment.
New Zealand was the only country among the Five Eyes that did not publicly support Canada in the diplomatic dispute between India and Canada.
Citing the interference of Canadian diplomats in the country's internal affairs and their numerical superiority, the Modi government had given an ultimatum to the Trudeau government to recall 41 diplomats. On October 3, the Indian government warned Canada that if the number of diplomats was not reduced, all their diplomatic immunity would be removed.
