Typhoon Hamun: Hamun storm wreaks havoc in Bangladesh,thousands rendered homeless

The effect of cyclone Hamun is visible on the sea shores of Bangladesh.  Bangladeshi officials said Typhoon Hamun reached the south-eastern coast of the country.  At least two people have died so far due to Hamoon, while 275,000 people are looking for somewhere to take shelter.
News agency AFP spoke to Kamrul Hasan, Secretary of the Disaster Management Ministry.  "Power lines were cut and heavy rain fell on coastal villages and islands, but there were no reports of widespread damage," he said. "We have evacuated 273,352 people," Hassan said.
 He said two people died, one was crushed by a falling tree and the other after a building collapsed.  "At least 10 people have been injured and are undergoing treatment in hospitals," he said.
