Nobel Literature Prize: John Fosse receives the Nobel Prize for Literature 2023

Literature Nobel 2023: It has been announced that the Nobel Prize for Literature for the year 2023 will be awarded to Norwegian writer John Fosse.  This award has been given for his amazing plays which become the voice of the unspoken.  The Swedish Academy gave this information.  Mats Malm, permanent secretary of the academy, announced the award in Stockholm.  Under the will left by Swedish inventor Alfred Nobel, the Nobel Prizes carry a cash prize of 11 million Swedish kronor ($1 million).  The winners will also be given an 18-carat gold medal and diploma at the awards ceremony held in December.  Last year, French writer Anne Ernaux had won this award.  Ernaux was only the 17th woman out of 119 Nobel Literature Prize winners.
