ED arrested AAP MP Sanjay Singh in excise scam case

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday arrested senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh (AAP Sanjay Singh Arrested) in the Delhi Excise Scam (Delhi Excise Policy Case).  ED had raided Sanjay Singh's Delhi house from 7 am on Wednesday.  Many documents were seized from here.  After a long interrogation, ED arrested Sanjay Singh at around 5:30 pm on Wednesday evening.  Sanjay Singh's name is also in the charge sheet of the Excise Policy case.  In this case, Manish Sisodia is in jail since February.
 In January, ED had added Sanjay Singh's name in its charge sheet.
 In January this year, ED had added Sanjay Singh's name in its charge sheet.  Sanjay Singh had created a lot of uproar regarding this.  Sanjay Singh claimed that ED has added his name by mistake.  To which ED replied that Sanjay Singh's name has been written at four places in their charge sheet.  In three of these places the name is spelled correctly.  There was a typing mistake only at one place.  After which ED had advised Sanjay Singh not to make statements in the media, because the matter is pending in the court.
