Varanasi gets Best Smart City award, ranks first among 30 cities

The picture of the country's cultural capital is changing day by day.  In this context, Kashi is being awarded on many major forums in the country and the world.  Varanasi has been awarded the Best Smart City award at the India Smart City Conclave 2023 organized by the Ministry of Urban and Housing Affairs, Government of India on Wednesday (September 27).  Varanasi officials have also expressed their gratitude to the people of the city.
India Smart City Conclave 2023 was organized by the Ministry of Urban and Housing Affairs, Government of India in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.  Many cities of the country were awarded by HE President Draupadi Murmu for their achievements.
 Kashi, the cultural capital of the country, also known as Varanasi and Banaras, was awarded the India Smart City award at the event.  Varanasi Smart City was awarded the Best City in the North Zone with a population of over 1 million in the India Smart City Award Contest.  The prestigious award was received by Shipu Giri, Chief Executive Officer, Varanasi Smart City.
