FIDE World Cup Chess Tournament: Indian chess grandmaster Rameshbabu Pragyananandhaa performed well in the final of the FIDE World Cup Chess Tournament but missed out on winning the title.  They suffered defeat at the hands of world number one Magnus Carlsen.  Two bets were played in two days under the final and both ended in draws.  The result was then determined by a tiebreaker.
 The result came out after four bets in the three-day final.  18-year-old Pragyanananadhaa beat 32-year-old Carlson in the opening two rounds.  The first bet between the two was played on Tuesday, which went 34 moves, but failed to produce a result.
