ISRO has achieved great success with Chandrayaan-3. The lunar rover has successfully placed in lunar orbit late Saturday evening. Earlier, Chandrayaan-3 had covered two-thirds of the distance by Friday after its July 14 launch. If all goes well, Chandrayaan-3 will make a soft landing on the lunar surface on August After traveling 384,000 kilometers from Earth, Chandrayaan has reached the orbit of the moon. Chandrayaan-3 will now orbit the moon. The spacecraft will now orbit the moon 5 times and after each orbit the distance between the moon and the moon will decrease and after the last orbit the spacecraft will land on the lunar surface.
"This is Chandrayaan-3, I am feeling the gravity of the moon," ISRO tweeted. Chandrayaan-3 has successfully placed in lunar orbit.
On August 1, Chandrayaan-3 was lifted above Earth orbit and the launch process was successfully completed. Chandrayaan was put into 'translunar orbit'. Since its launch last month, Chandrayaan-3 has been lifted into orbit five times. The lunar rover has already orbited the Earth before being placed in lunar orbit. Chandrayaan-3 is India's third lunar mission.
