Assam all-rounder Riyan Parag displayed a stellar performance in the Deodhar Trophy, helping him win the Player of the Tournament award.
South Zone defeated East Zone by 45 runs to win the Deodhar Trophy on August 3.
South Zone scored 328/8 while East Zone was all out for 283 in 46.1 overs.
Though his team, East Zone, could not win the Trophy, Parag's performance in the tournament definitely stole the show.
Parag scored 354 runs in 5 innings and took 11 wickets. Furthermore, the 235-run partnership between Parag (131) and Kumar Kushagra (98) against North Zone was the only double-century partnership of this season.
