Rahul Gandhi will appear in Parliament, the Supreme Court stayed the punishment of Congress leader in the Modi surname case

The Supreme Court has given a big relief to Rahul Gandhi in the Modi surname case.  The apex court has stayed the conviction of the Congress leader.  The court said that while Rahul's conviction plea is pending, his sentence will be stayed.  It is believed that Rahul may now attend the monsoon session of Parliament.  Rahul's lawyer said his membership has now been restored.  His lawyer claimed that Rahul will now appear in the Parliament session from this session.
After the Supreme Court ruling, it is believed that a copy will go to the Lok Sabha Speaker's Secretariat.  The Lok Sabha Speaker may then decide on Rahul Gandhi's membership.  It is believed that Rahul may attend the monsoon session of Parliament.  The Lok Sabha Secretariat had disqualified Rahul after he received a two-year sentence.  However, the Election Commission had not announced the polls in Wayanad.  The Speaker will inform the Election Commission of the matter and then the Speaker will decide on the matter.  If everything happens quickly, Rahul may join the session of Parliament on Monday or Tuesday.
