Thiruvananthapuram International Airport has created history by becoming the first airport in India to receive the prestigious Zero Waste to Landfill (ZWL) accreditation.  The accolade comes from the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII-ITC) Center of Sustainable Development Excellence, confirming the airport’s commitment to environmentally responsible practices.
 Through rigorous evaluation, it has been verified that Thiruvananthapuram International Airport has implemented exemplary waste management strategies, resulting in an impressive utilization of 99.50 per cent of waste from landfill.
